From: IHRA Chair
To: All delegates
It was a sincere pleasure to welcome so many of you to the Stockholm Plenary meetings last week.
With such productive, fruitful, and engaging meetings, I can only look forward to my remaining time as IHRA Chair, and we are already looking at the more exact timing and next steps for the work on Ukraine and the follow-up to the Malmö pledges.
In Stockholm, we were all reminded of the importance of our work and shared commitments. To echo the words of Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson: “We must remain steadfast in our efforts to counter violence, hatred, and ignorance, which are increasingly undermining peace and democracy. Holocaust denial and distortion are gaining ground – we cannot allow this to happen.”
I would encourage you to share this message and the press release issued last week within your networks.
Please also consider sharing content from the IHRA’s social media channels (@theIHRA), and add your voice using the hashtags #IHRAinStockholm and #TogetherForImpact. You are also welcome to share any of the official photos from the Plenary. Please credit the photos Magnus Liljegren/Government of Sweden.
A heartfelt thank you to all for your untiring dedication and splendid collaboration.
Ambassador Ann Bernes
