The Jewish Museum of Greece and the B & M Theocharakis Foundation co-organised the presentation of Dionysios Vitsos’ book The Zakyththos Jews, 15th-20th centuries (in Greek), which took place on Wednesday, 6 February 2019, in the Theocharakis Foundation. The event was honoured by the presence of Israeli Ambassador Irit Ben-Abba, representatives of the Greek Orthodox Church and political parties, and a large section of the public.

The book was very well received by those in attendance, who analysed it and highlighted its key points.

The presentation was also addressed by Makis Matsas, President of the Jewish Museum of Greece, who went into the events and the book, which he said contains information about the historical course of the Jews in Greece that few Jews are aware of.
