We were saddened to hear about the unfortunate loss of Thanos Mikroutsikos who was a fervent supporter and always well acquainted with the work of the JMG.

The crucial role he played in the 1990s, which led to the relocation of the JMG to the building of 39 Nikis Street in 1998, the financial and moral support he provided during this key period of the JMG’s 42-years of history, was a reference point  in the following years of the Museum under its own roof, and it remains so to this day.

The JMG honors his memory and considers his valuable contribution as a source of inspiration and strength for the continuation of its research and cultural work.

We would like to express the sincere condolences of the board and staff of the Jewish Museum of Greece to his bereaved family.
