- On 28th June 2010, the Jewish Museum of Greece took part in a meeting held by the Greek Branch of ICOM on Using New Technologies in Museum Educational Activities. JMG director Mrs Battinou was among those who spoke at the meeting and she demonstrated the content and use of an interactive info kiosk on the subject of the Second World War and the Holocaust in Greece, one of the JMG’s digital educational applications.
- On 12th to 16th June, the director of the JMG took part in the International Conference on Holocaust Education organised by the Yad Vashem Institution in Jerusalem. Mrs Battinou then represented Greece on the Museums and Monuments Working Group of the International Task Force for Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research first annual meeting, held in Jerusalem, during this year’s Israeli presidency of the organisation.
- On 19th and 20th February the JMG took part in a two-day seminar organised by the Directorate of the National Archive of Monuments in the amphitheatre of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The meeting focused on issues of centralised planning and co-ordinated substantiation and documentation, such as the substantiation, documentation and management of monuments that are immovable real estate and monuments that are movable, the management of archived material and indexing the country’s monuments.
