- An interesting three-day event on the subject of “The Theatre and Inter Cultural Education” was held by the School Theatre Organisation in Athens on 6th to 8th December. As well as the museum’s director Mrs. Zanet Battinou, the JMG’s Education Officer, Mrs Orietta Treveza-Soussi also addressed the meeting.
- The JMG submitted two papers to the conference “Jewish Culture in the Balkans”, which the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki held on 6th to 8th April. One paper was on the Jewish Community of Ioannina and the other was on the present and future of European Jewish Museums.
- At the end of February, the JMG took part in the Council of American Jewish Museums’ conference, held in Philadelphia USA, representing the Administrative Council of the Association of European Jewish Museums. The theme of the conference was “350 Years of Jewish American Life”.
