On Wednesday 24 September 2019, Mr. Makarios Lazaridis MP of the prefecture of Kavala, visited the Jewish Museum of Greece, accompanied by his associates. Mr. Lazaridis, was welcomed by the Museum’s director Ms. Zanet Battinou, who offered a guided tour through the permanent and temporary exhibitions to the special guests. At the end of the tour, Mr. Lazaridis was informed of the Museum’s mission and priorities, while he expressed particular interest in the Museum’s educational programs and exhibitions, in Holocaust Education, and the Museum’s commitment to promoting tolerance and combating racism, xenophobia and discrimination in our society. He was particularly interested in the possibility of implementing similar programs for teachers and schools in the Prefecture of Kavala.
