On Tuesday 17th October 2017, the new ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Athens, Mr. Jens Plötner, visited the Jewish Museum of Greece. His excellency was received by Mr. Samuel (Makis) Matsas, President of the J.M.G. Board of Directors,Mr. Mikis Modiano,treasurer of the BoD of the Association of Friends of the J.M.G. and the director of the JMG,Ms. Zanet Battinou,who gave him a guided tour of the J.M.G. permanent and temporary exhibitions. After the tour, Mr. Plötner had a short conversation with the people present, during which he was informed on the museum’s special programmes as well on the new three–year long program(2016– 2018) between the German Embassy and the JMG, a further step in the productive cooperation of the Jewish Museum of Greece with the Embassy, whichhas successfully supported the work of the Museum on Holocaust Education.
