It is with great pleasure that President of Heritage and Museums-World Cultural Heritage and Museums – Athens, Paris, New York, Mrs. Lila de Chaves-Chronopoulou is inviting you to an online award ceremony to three Greek museum directors who have a remarkable career in recent years in the field of Museums and Culture.

H&M aims to promote the global cultural resources through communication, education and research.

In this spirit, this year, whilst also celebrating its 13th anniversary, H&M has decided to award these prizes to:

  • Mrs. Sophia Peloponnissiou-Vasilacos Museologist, Curator of the “Katakouzinou House-Museum”,
  • Mrs. Zanet Battinou Archaeologist, Director of the Jewish Museum of Greece and
  • Mr. Kostas Maniatopoulos Art Historian-Painter, Director of the “Strati Eleftheriadis-Teriade Museum and Library”

In addition to their knowledge, the aforementioned leading museum professionals have exceeded their usual professional activities within their position, with their admirable dedication and contribution to the museum sector through their personal time.

H&M, Heritage and Museums, is a non-profit organization under the supervision of the Foreign Ministry. H&M’s activities are based on cooperation, volunteering and with particular sensitivity to people with disabilities and culturally excluded groups in general, as well as the environment. At the same time, H&M is in partnership with the EMF of the Council of Europe EMF, European Museum Forum, Council of Europe.

The award ceremony will be presented by ANT1 TV’s journalist Faye Chrysochou and the awards will be presented by the President of Heritage and Museums-World Cultural Heritage and Museums Mrs. Lila de Chaves-Chronopoulou.
