Educational program, free of charge entitled: “Meeting with a Holocaust Survivor”

On Sunday April 1st 2012, in the framework of the religious Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah, Thursday, April 19), the Jewish Museum of Greece offered to families with children over 13, an educational program –free of charge- entitled: “Meeting with a Holocaust Survivor”. The program included a) a guided tour at the Shoah Area and the interactive info-kiosk of the JMG, b) a guided tour at the temporary exhibition “The Holocaust of Greek Jews, 1941-’44 – Personal Accounts“, c) a guided tour of the temporary exhibition “The Memorial”, d) a meeting with Mr. Isaac Mizan, Holocaust Survivor and President of the Greek Association of Holocaust Survivors, at the premises of the JMG. The aim of these activities is to familiarize the families with the Holocaust, through the exhibitions of the Museum and mainly through the personal accounts of people that lived at the time. Their presence allows for direct acquaintance, personal contact and discussion.
