On Sunday 20th May, an educational program for teachers entitled “Education of Roma Children” took place at the Jewish Museum of Greece, in the framework of the ICOM International Museums Day. The event was organised in cooperation with the Centerfor Intercultural Education of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA). The participants were educators from the schools cooperatingin the program, and the aim of the event was to familiarize them with the Jewish Museum of Greece. The program included a guided tour through the Museum, presentation of the educational programs and materials, created for kindergarten and elementary school children, and provided the attendees with the opportunity to meet and discuss the selection and adaptation of these programs, according to the needs of the Roma children. Finally, visits by specific school groups to the Museum were scheduled.
