Description: These items are personal belongings, money, jewellery and other valuables belonging to the Jews of Northeastern Greece, which was under Bulgarian Occupation. These had been confiscated by the Bulgarian Occupation Authorities, were carefully catalogued, and sealed in cloth sacs. They were returned to Greece after the war, but since the vast majority of their owners had died –mostly in Treblinka and Auschwitz– they ended up in the Jewish Museum of Greece.
